Location Based Social Networking

Following the development and recent release of Google Latitude, I figure it might be a good time to delve into the realm of location specific apps and tools. This is already a big topic, but getter bigger by the day.
One of the main cornerstones upon which social networks are built are status updates..."what are you doing?", "

Jerry Yang: Saying Farewell to Yahoo!?
It is time to say so long to Mr. Jerry Yang. The co-founder and CEO of Yahoo has decided his time at the exclamatory Y has come to an end.
The weighing factors in Jerry Yang's decision have yet to be announced but you can be pretty sure the Microsoft deal had something to do with it. Was he pressured to step down? Was the difference in opinion between Yang and the board too much to bear? And most importantly, is the Microsoft offer back on the table?
All these questions will surely be answered sooner rather than later. We will watch the onset of haggling, media blow out and rumors swirl in the next few days.
Under the helm Jerry Yang led some of the biggest steps in the evolution of Web 2.0. Yahoo Pipes is a big one that comes to mind for myself. Which is only one among many products, services and applications that Yang has spearheaded.
It was good while it lasted and we all know that Jerry Yang wont be out of the web game for too long.
It's a Car, It's a Truck, It's the Pontiac G8 ST
Is that the El Camino I see??? Almost! The new gen calls it a Sport Truck.
The Pontiac G8 ST has officially been named and is ready to roll. Will the car-chassied pick-up be enough to save Pontiac from the axe of GM? The current market is tough, but this truck is a doozey.
It has been anticipated for quite some time now and recently has become more apparent, popping up all across the web.

Getting in the Political Game
I feel so honored and downright appreciated. Finally, a politician that cares about the people and their daily affairs. It's easy for polsters to lump together their constituents as a whole and work for the all-encompassing causes. But when is the last time a presidential candidate cared what I was eating for lunch or where I am going after work.
Well with his tech-savvy know-how, Senator Barack Obama and I are now on a personal level. Sure, I am his friend on Digg, but now we are bound by tweets. Thanks Twitter!
SOTW: Linkin Park - Bleed it Out
A modern classic but lately I think I've listened to this song about 2 million or so times.
